Friends of Turn End Trust support the educational, creative and community development by Turn End Trust.  By becoming our Friend, you are helping us to increase opportunities of public appreciation of Turn End, and create a network of supporters and volunteers to help protect and carry it into the future.

Receive access to the garden by appointment, free or discounted entry to some events and exclusive access to our film library via the Members Area.  We have various categories of Friends including Annual, Lifetime and Corporate Membership.  We value the support of our Friends and look forward to welcoming new members to the Scheme.

Being a Friend brings with it:

  • Friends garden visits by appointment: Turn End Garden is open to Friends by appointment throughout the year (please email the Gardener to book an appointment).

  • Guests: Friends can bring one guest free of charge to ‘Friends garden visits by appointment’. No charge for accompanied Under 16s.

  • Entry: Friends have free or discounted entry to some events (as specified in the events programme).

  • Film Library: exclusive access to films and documentaries, including interviews with Peter Aldington.

Annual membership

  • £35 - Friends Membership

  • £60 - Joint Friends (2 named persons)

Life membership

  • £250 - Friends Membership

  • £350 - Joint Friends (2 named persons)

Corporate Friends

  • £1000 - Corporate Friends

Organisations share membership among colleagues, permitting entry of up to four to any ‘Friends garden visits by appointment’, as well as free or discounted entry to events (as specified in the events programme). Corporate Friends can also book Private Group Visits for groups of 6 or more at reduced rates.

All income from the Friends scheme will be used solely for enabling Turn End Trust to fulfil its objects in line with the requirements of the Charity Commission. The Trust is indebted to Margaret and Peter Aldington for the use of their house and garden.
